Default Unplugged Cable

Hi guys, i own a superlow 2013 and this morning i found an unplugged cable near battery box. Tried looking for other end of the cable but could'nt get it.

Please have a look at the photos and let me know if it is supposed to be kept unplugged or it is to be plugged. (if plugged please let me know where would i find other end of the cable)

Thanks...

From the looks of the dust on this connector...it's not used for your bike. Manufacturers use standard sets of wiring harnesses nd not all plugs are used (depends on your bike's options). As long as everything's working fine (electronically) and you don't have any error codes...all is well.

If it is a three pin connector with wire colours
Brown/grey
Light green/violet
Black

Then it is for an optional security siren.

I'm not sure but my BAS has a plug like that and it's on the side of the battery box. 2002 xl1200 probably not but check it out

The fact that it is exposed like that indicates to me that either it had a protective cover which has gone missing, or something has been removed from your bike. Perhaps a PO removed the siren referred to by j bee?!
