Default MAP sensor hardware

Please I need some help, my attaching bolt to my MAP sensor on my 2014 iron decided to jump ship and completely fall out. I have no idea what it looks like or any specs. Dealerships are zero help because they don't know how to figure it out. I do not have a service manual. Anyone that knows please send me some specs so I can get a new one and Loctite the **** out of it

What year. The 2014 and up do not have a bolt to hold them in.Its held in by the peace of plastic that runs over from the bracket that holds the throttle cables. I thought the same thing once.

I'm confused, so all that holds the MAP sensor is that bracket? Is it normal for the sensor to just be able to rotate freely under the bracket? My bike had a huge fit yesterday sputtering and dying throwing MAP sensor code. Is the hole on the sensor for other models?

Yes that's all that holds it. My plug has backed out before causing the same thing. I thought I lost my screw but found out it never had one. I got a 2014 in the garage. I will take a picture of it later.

Either your plug backed out a bit or your MAP is going bad. I put that metal clip on it to hold it better. There has been a revision to this last year to hold it a little better but still no screw.

My plug is still seated well. Guess the sensor is going bad (****). So it can just be rotated around under that plate? That's what mine is currently doing. Haven't pulled the filter box off yet to look in there to see what's going on, just assumed I lost the bolt and would do that when I get a new one. Thanks a lot for your responses and help and pictures.

Well the plug isn't backed off like I hoped so I guess the sensor is bad, problem is I can't get the damn cover plate off, I took out the screw, only thing I can see holding it but it won't come up.

There was a screw used in them at one time. There is not a hole for the screw under the sensor for a screw. I have two throttle bodies in the garage and neither of them has a screw. me and my dealer figured this out sometime back. There is not a screw listed in the dealerships parts book for the later models. Good luck.
