Nah I'll get myself some Rush slip-on's and be done with it. For now the TTI's will hold me over until I can buy them.

Ran the Cycle Shacks with TTI's in my Sporty for over 3 years.

I bought the 158w tti's a few months back and finally just installed them. They definitely increase the power. I notice I stay in gear longer, and off the line it feels more peppy. It gives me more confidence. And while the decibel reading is the same the tone is not as abusive to my ears.

I`m using Miller slip on mufflers I got from https://www.millercustombike.de. on my 2013 model year sportster. They have cats in them as did my original mufflers, they are a little shorter and fatter than the originals. They have a nice deep sound and the finish is exceptional (polished stainless steel) I`m really happy with both the looks and the exhaust note

Has anyone replaced the baffles on a set of Vance & Hines straight shot slip on's? Once the heat shield is off, and the retention nut removed, do I need a special tool to pull the stock baffles out of the muffler? I can't find any videos that show how to actually get the baffle out.

Happy with my custom khrome tapered 3’’ Slip on’s

fitted quiet inserts to retain some back pressure all else is stock and exhaust looks stock to prevent the wrong interests and sounds nice without being offensive.

A deffinate improvement in low down torque flexibility without stock exhaust and cats no popping just smoother power delivery.

Cheap as chips on e bay uk based inserts from across the pond.
HD wanted £600 plus for slip ons and said I needed an additional tuner ouch.

04 XL1200C with 3" Rush, with 2" baffles and DK Custom TTi 158 are 80db at idle.

About the same sound level with SE shorty duel slip ons at 83db they sound great to me. YMMV of course.
I took off V&H straight shots to save my hearing and sanity.

I have a 2013 sporty 1200 custom, I understand I can just punch out the center of the baffle, is that correct?

2017 Harley 1200 custom 3” Rush slipons with 1 1/2” baffles @ 3 feet = roughly 78 - 80 DB at idle on a iPhone sound meter app.
But ya still going to need foam plugs at highway and overtaking speeds, Wife hates them.
Thought about the DK Custom TTI ‘s But the wife shut me down before I could suggest getting anything else.

Happy wife, Happy life
