Reserve then ran out

RE: Reserve then ran out
On my 03, with the 3.3 tank, I get to reserve at 2.8 gallons exact every time and the longest I've gone in reserve is 32 miles. I did not run out so I'm not sure how much I could get out of it, 32 is probably the limit, or really close. I was really milking it, by the way.

RE: Reserve then ran out
I wish my bike didn't have a reserve. Then I wouldn't need to stop and turn off the bike to get that last 40 miles out of the tank. I reset my tripometer every time I fill up and use that as my gauge.
I've owned my bike for 6 weeks and I've only switched to reserve once.

Blue,
Switching to reserve sure beats pushing the scoot down the road. No mater how much chrome you have, it don't look cool pushing.
You need to practice switching from on / res while running. should take <2 sec (find choke, little forward & up twist 180 deg, ahhhh that's better,) - you might not have a safe place to pull over.
