The confusing bit is the spring choice between you and souzafone. But by not supplying rider weights we don't know the full story on choice.
I will get the 11.5" 430s as I have bags fitted and keep stance of bike as is.
What is the 2-up weight if you don't mind me asking?

 

2 up for me is almost 400lb. Progressives come with standard wound or HD springs. The HD springs give a firm ride riding solo on their lowest setting. If I had standard springs I would ride solo on the middle setting and full stiff 2 up. I would rather have a stiffer preload than too soft, for me having a little more than I need is prefereable to not having enough at times.

 

Thank you for rider weight. I think therefore I can probably get away with the standard springs despite what I think I read from Progressive.
This would give better solo ride and as my partner wants her own machine I may well be riding mostly solo soon.
Checking the manual again the lowest setting on the emulsion shock is for a rider weight of 190 lbs that is very firm for me solo.

 

My solo weight is 155lbs rider only, don't carry much gear.
2up would add 145, so 300lbs.
