Default V&H Shortshots - Pt.3 - Big Sucker Sucker coming soon

Well guys ol' fumblefingers went & done it. Yesterday i put on my V&H shortshots &
it actually turned out pretty good. Buddy of mine was supposed to help, but he stood
me up at the last minute due to some air conditioning problems at his home.
Everything came apart real easy & re-assembly was ok, even though i did get kinda frustrated
a couple of times. Luckily my sweet wife helped me some & we got it done.
Hopefully, in another month or so I'll have the Big Sucker ready to put on, but I'll probably
have that done by a shop so they can do all the jetting & get everything set up right.
Now, time for 1 of my infamous dumb questions; how expensive are the jets that I'll need
for the pipes & A/C. One guy I've already talked to said about $100 for the labor & dialing
it in, but I don't know if that included the cost of the jets or not.
Anyway, any comments or feedback would be helpful & appreciated.

If you handled the pipes yourself then you can do the jets yourself. You can buy the jets for about $3 each I would start with a #45 low jet and a #175 or #180 high jet. Buy all 3. Install the #45 and #180. If it seems to run rich above 3000 rpm replace the 180 with the 175.

The instructions for doing it are here: https://www.hdforums.com/m_190110/tm.htm

Also, the jets can be replaced without removing the carb.
