Default Help. Just installed forward controls and hand grips...

Now my clutch won't disengage. I put the bike in first gear pulled the clutch in and it won't roll. I'm concerned that if I start the bike it will lurch forward. I did the clutch adjustment and it still does the same thing. Scratching my head.....

Adjusted the clutch cable, the contact point behind the derby cover, or both?

Both. But I've done a little research on here and some people say they can't roll there bike with the bike in gear and clutch pulled in, but that it still worked, so I started the bike put it in gear and it didn't move, started letting the clutch out and it started to engage. So, I'm going to take it out tomorrow and see what it does. Thanks for the reply.

Wink

The clutch can 'stick' when left say over night and doesn't spin free until after that 'clunk' we get when engaging first gear for the first time after starting the engine. That may be why your bike wouldn't move when you pushed it with the lever pulled in.

Harley uses a WET clutch, the plates drag from friction when the motor isn't running making it hard to push the bike with just the clutch lever pulled in.
