I live in PA and don't normally but I ride to WV daily and have to and need to find a nice DOT skid lid for the hot days,I have a full face for cold & wet rides and my police style helmet looks like a mushroom top IMO on my head[&:]

Ahhhh, one of the nice things about Minnesota (and all surrounding states). I don't even own a helmet.

I am guilty of not wearing my helmet from time-to-time, but I just watched a video in the video forum and to be honest, I think I will put it on everytime now. Just watch this and give it some time - a few minutes in and you will see several instances why it really is us against them (cagers.) Not trying to spook anyone - just educate. It is personal choice where the law does not dictate otherwise. If nothing else you will see how sometimes we as bikers can be doing NOTHING wrong or risky and still end up in harm's way. I mean, we already know that as responsible riders, but seeing is believing. Be safe all!

I went on yet another Patriot Guard funeral mission today, in Kentucky. The route I took today has a small little town about 2 miles on the KY side of the TN/KY border. I stopped at the quaint little "square" took my helmet off and strapped it to the bike. Then rode, completed the PGR mission and stopped at the same spot, about 80 miles later, and regretfully, had to put my helmet back on before crossing the TN state line.

We almost passed a law that would allow lid less riding this year, but the sponsors of the bill have now deferred the final vote until January. I trust they had good reason for the deferment. Maybe next year???!!!!!

Same folks who want to take away your guns? Montana has no helmet law, but I wear one because I choose to.
