2011 xl1200x battery drain
My 48 was at the dealership for a month waiting on a new induction module and while it was there I asked them to check the charging system because on a few occasions, the bike wouldn't start after sitting overnight. They tested the battery and charging system and said everything is fine.
Two nights ago, after getting it back from the dealer, I put it on the charger overnight and rode it to / from work yesterday with no issues. This morning, the battery is too dead to start the bike. Not totally dead because the lights work and the solenoid clicks, but not enough juice to turn over.
It's a pretty stock 48 except for the pipes and A/C, dyno tune and some LED taillights. They're not the cheap taillights from EBAY.
So my question is, where should I start looking to find what's draining the battery? I have a DMM so I'm thinking just set it to read AMPs, pull the fuses one at a time and put the leads across the fuse terminals until I find one that's drawing power but there are so few circuits on the bike that there's probably one that is known for doing this.
As far as I know, there is no alarm or security system other than the stock one that requires the FOB.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.
