Thanks again to hexnut for his response and the poster that suggested that I test ride a 1200t.
All the rest of responders must not have read my question. I asked for a comparison of two Harley shocks, not for recommendations on another type of shock or something from DK customs.
For a while I thought I had not communicated properly when posting a question, the reality however, was that a lot of the responses were from folks who didn't read the question or disregarded it and offered an opinion on what brand they like.
You get that on a forum, I understand that, however, when someone gets irritated and says I could have called DK customs and check on their product
thst poster did not read the f------ question

I can't imagine that switching from one HD shock to another style HD shock especially when both are speced for a Sportster would have a difference in ride quality. But, I do question HD shocks as having ride quality. I just switched to Progressive 430 shocks on my 2017 custom because after 5000 miles I wasn't happy with the ride quality. I know with your reasoning for the switch the Progressive 430s would accomplish zippo. But, have you considered an air shock setup? I've read on this forum where quite a few people have installed Road King air shocks on a sporty and have been very happy with the results. Air shocks would give you the ability to make an easy change from one up to two up riding and have no impact on the hard mounted saddle bags. Just a thought.

Dude really? Have ya re-read your original post? You suggested there would be no difference between the HD shocks he is questioning. I stated the same thing and stated that the HD shocks are crap for a quality ride. You stated that you have progressive 444 and can adjust them without removing your saddlebags. I stated I have progressive 430 shocks and that the OP could give a rats *** about that and suggested that air shocks might be an alternative because he wouldn't have to remove his saddlebags.
You really need for that Gypsy to leave your ***** alone

I answered his question and stated what I have. I did not recommend them or any other shock especially air shocks. He already stated what he thinks about your post. LOL.

I'm thinking he wants to stay with Harley shocks and doesn't want recommendation for other brands or types of shocks. That's his prerogative.
