RE: Miles per Gallon
Seems about right.
I'm averaging 50 to 55 per gal depending on what kind of riding I'm doing. Long runs to the beach and few stops it gets higher. Work and errands w/lots of stops it drops to 50 or so.
I jsut made it a habbit to gas upevery 135 miles when doing day to day riding.
I can add more after tomorrow. Making my first all day run with a small pack. Out at 7 and ETA back is about 5 or so PM and I will definitely be checking my mlg.

RE: Miles per Gallon
I was getting 50 or a little better until after the genius mechanic at the stealer decided since my bike was running rich he would put a 195 main jet in it then i started getting 45-48 mpg.
I had another mechanic look at it and he put a smller jet in it saying the 195 was way too big (no poop) I believe he put a 180 in it so I'll soon see if I am back to my 50 mpg or not.

RE: Miles per Gallon
When I first got the bike the best mpg was 33. Then I switched from PetroCanada to Sunoco. The Sunoco 91 octane gave 48 mpg. Then I switched to using Sunoco Ultra 94 octane andthere is an increase to 54 mpg. So then I tried a few tanks of UPI ethanol blend 91 octane. The mpg remained the same 54 mpg.
I'm paying $1.15 to $1.20 per litre for the highest octaneat the pumps I can get and I think it is worth the extra pennies. I have gone from 280 kms before reserve to 340 kms before reserve.
Just if you arewondering; one litre is equal to one U.S. quart and100 kms is equal to 62 miles
