Hello all,
I have a 1994 Sportster and am trying to swap out the stock headlight with an LED projector headlight. I have ordered one and it is the correct diameter. However, the headlight bucket for a '94 also houses a myriad of other cables that take up all the real estate in the headlight bucket so that the LED projector headlight does not fit. I am certain that I can't be the only person who has put in, or tried to put in a LED headlight. Does anybody out there who has done this and how, or know of any particular brand that will definitely work in this bike? (please don't say the one for $600+ at the Harley dealer) Your advice in this situation would be greatly appreciated.

 

You've bumped into a common syndrome around HDF - trying to put modern parts in an older model. For some of us such stuff is a challenge, to be met with determination and ingenuity and that is what you need to muster here. I've done it on a different model, but unfortunately that won't help you here.
