Default Anyone having this problem with the fuel pak?

Hello All,
Since finishing up last week putting the V&H short shots, Fuel Pak, & stage 1on my wifes nightster,I noticed @ low RPMs that it's very "doggish/hesitant" until I crack the trottle open more. I called V&H & told the tech this. He instructed me to goto step 19 (I think) and re-cal the opening & closing of the throttle & to do it a bit slowerinstead ofsnapping it open & letting it go.

So I did this & it's still more or less the same. Any suggestions for those with a 1200, stage 1, short shots, & the fuel pak? Is it even the fuel pak or something else? Any & all help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Henny

I put the same pipes on my bike last week. I didn't do the fuel pack or stage one andthe bike runs great. Try unhooking the fuel pack and put the stocka/c on and check the results. If it fixes your problem it should be the fuel pack. Keep us posted, I'm looking at doing a fuel pack next[:@]

Not using a fuel pac or a power commander will hurt the bike. remember when putting after market pipes or mufflers on your bike you have less back pressure so you need more fuel. You will run lean and will at one point hurt your engine... I work in service department and H.D. dealer see it all the time. I have a D&D 2 into 1 pipe with a power commmander on my nightster runs great

That sure doesn't make sense to me unless has something to do with theelevationdifferences. I checked the plugs after adding the pipes andthe color was a nice light tan. But honestly the bike runs smooth as silk from idle all the way up. I think if you could get two people to agree on this fuel pack topic , you'd be a rich SOB!
