Don't know crap about it but should take it in.

To eliminate the clutch, when the bike hesitates, does the engine rpm drop or rise? If the clutch is slipping the rpm will rise. If the engine bogs when the hesitation occursclutch slippage is not the problem.

cHarley its more like the bike hesitates but only from a stop. The engine doesnt rev high so i know its not clutch. it will take off and then its like it skips a heart beatand then good again.
Celtlion, really not sure if carb has been re-jetted. anyway to tell? And no it doesnt die just skips a beat and good again.
I really appreciate the help guys!

Re-jetting the stock carb is common and necessary these days due to EPA regulations, but since yours is a 91 the stock jet size should not be causing this problem. The EPA wasn't screwing with bikes up back in 91. Not knowing the history of your bike and if it was stored at some point with unstabilized fuel or not leads me to recommend cleaning the carb just to eliminate that possibility. Also check all vacuum lines for leaks or cracks. If they look old or dry replace them. A leaky vacuum line can affect the ignition timing advance, especially when transitioning from idle speed.
Here is a link that details the location & replacement to the jets in case you want to pull them and verify their size.
