Default Question about Nightster

Good evening crowd. I'm new to the forum and have a question about the 1200 Nightster. I'm 6' tall and weigh 190. This bike has it's pegs a little farther back than I'm used to and it's pretty low. Does anyone about my height have one and how does it feel to ride. I've sat on one but not actually riden one yet. Love the bike but wanted to see if there were others as tall as me who have one. My inseam is about 32/33 if that helps. Thanks all.

Steve

Sitting on the bike in the showroom and riding the bike are two completely different things. I'm 5'10' 165 lbs and it fits me perfect, even with the mid controls which I prefer overthe forward controls. I guess you just have to find someone to let you take a test ride!

I am the same height as you and about 20 pds heavier. I got my Nighster about a month ago and think it is a great bike for local riding. Not sure if it would be so great over distance, but that wasn't why I bought the Nightster. I am going to swap to some Progressive shocks (kind of harsh ride over bumps) and I put a new seat on yesterday afternoon (Corbin Hollywood solo). I am also leaning towards some fwd controls over the mid's, due to some hip discomfort after 30 minutes or so of riding. Other than that, a great bike and 1 that I would recommend for anyone looking for an around-town ride. If you are looking for something for highway or longer distance trips though, you may want to try different models until you find 1 that fits the type of riding you plan on doing. Hope my perspective helps you somewhat...

I'm 5'10 and have the 1200 C model. I find I like the forward controls and that they could actually be a little bit further forward for me. It's a totally different style of riding.

My 6'1" neighbor considering buying a Nightster after seeing mine. The first word that came out of his wife's mouth after he sat on it was DORK!

I must say, it was a bit too small for him.

Me on the other hand, I'm 5'8" and look cool as hell on it.

Well actually, a big v-twin makes more sense for those with a Napoleon complex. How better to overcompensate for one's shortness than with a big frilly bike.
