I was out riding my sportster and was going about 40mph when the throttle suddenly dropped as well as engine turning off. The bike would start with the choke both on and off. However, I put the choke back on and allowed the bike to run for a minute or two. It got back up and running but about a minute later began to loose throttle again. Almost jerking me back and fourth. It would not idle in first gear at a stop sign and the engine would shut off. please help!

 

First. Make sure there's gas in the tank...we've all been there.

If it shuts off when warm and starts again when cold I'd look into the ignition module.
