Extended Warranty

Extended Warranty
Hey folks, just wanted to put this out. I purchased a 5 year extended warranty when I bought my bike in 2014 with 54k miles (yes, I know a lot of miles for a 2011...and no, I did not get a good deal).
Most would say, it is not worth the money, but for me, because I had 54k, I did not think twice about getting it. Anyway, I already made back my money on the warranty....it helps to know the mechanics since they will find anything that is not right when doing other stuff. I already changed out all my motor mounts and stabilizers and few other thing.
Anyway, I just found out that I can get a second extended 5 yr warranty to 2024 as long as it is below 75k miles. Ask the mechanic if it was worth it and he did not say yes or no but said if anything goes wrong with the transmission, it will cost over $3k...I talked to another rider who actually had transmission work done and he confirmed the cost.
btw my bike is fully customized but I did not touch the engine (except for stage 1 and tuner) and transmission because of the warranty. My bike is running flawlessly even with that kind of mileage. So if the dealership is willing to cover a bike with less than 75k miles, it has to say something about the dependability of Harley Davidson motorcycles.

If your bike is running fine and since your bike has low mileage, that would be a tough decision if you are mechanically inclined.

Where I bought my bike in Kansas City buy tires there and they put them on for $20. And they due an oil change for $39.99. They guys there treat my bike good, they like it
I can do the maintenance and stuff but If the trany goes out or something serous I aint got the motivation to fix that stuff any more.
