So, I was going to remove my factory folding license plate bracket to put on an axle mount. I can't seem to get the turn signal to come off. The nut started to go but now the bolt just spins and the turn signal is loose. How do I get to the back side of it to get it off? Need to get this bracket off...
I think there's a bolt on the other side (under fender),..right? To get the light out I believe you're going to have to remove the plastic clip/harness from the other end of the signal otherwise it won't pull through the hole.
Try to avoid cutting the wire so you can resell the lights. Not sure how the connector comes off but I know it does. Youtube for that.

original owner had already cut the wires so I just recut and I will resolder and use shrink tubing.
The "cut and paste" laddie above is richt aboot the part numbers.
Item 7 is H-D part # 5531 is described by H-D as a screw, it's no a screw, it's actually a double ended stud with a fixed hexagon that acts as a spacer. The left hand one on my Iron 883 was rusty, I removed both the left and right stud and replaced them with stainless steel bolts. The plain shank of the bolt acts as a spacer in the same way that the stock studs hexagon does and I winnae hae a rust problem there again.
