I just got done watching that Earl show....I would also like to add Jamie Presley in the mix of hot women and the Softail Deluxe into the hot bike catagory.

If money is not the concern go with the Dyna for everyday ridin. I bought an 05 883C in June. I've riden a little over 5,100 miles since then. I had to uppgrade the seat the factory job is harsh on the ****, my friends tell me the factory seat on the Dyna is bad too. However. Any Sporty rider who says at 50mph and up, that stuff in his mirrors aint fuzzy, is either not lookin in 'em or is shall I say, not telling the truth. I don't want to say anybody would lie but the Sporty does have some vibration, even the rubber mounts did not eliminate it all. But from simply a dollar value standpoint the Sporty cannot be beat. You get a riders motorcycle for thousands less. I love my Sporty but people say I'm crazy, Crazy about ridin. If you are gonna get all those bags and shields and floorboards, go get a Winnebago! (sorry Mike) Just pokin a little fun, after all I ride a Chick Bike. They sure do love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ******....I agree with you on the looking in the rearview mirrors thing. It is a bit hard to see out of them. Some of my buddies told me it's the same way on their bikes and they have other models including some metrics. I just thought that's the way it was on all bikes. I can honestly say, I don't feel too much of a vibration to make it uncomfortable, i hardly notice it. I guess perhaps the mirrors proves it does vibrate a little. Never thought of that. I still think the Sportster is one of the best bang for the buck out there :-) And who's doesn't like a good bang? LOL

It's not 100% blurless, but it does get as blurless as it can considering you're riding a bike at high speed. I can tell you that there are sweet spots and my mirrors aren't blurred at all at 65-70. There's just rpm ranges that they're blurred. 2nd gear over 30 mph it's horribly blurred. Besides aren't the dyna's rubbermounted as well? I'm sure they experience bluriness just like the sportsters.

Several of my friends ride bigger bikes than mine. Softail Standard, Fatboy, Dyna's I ride one of them from time to time. The difference is the bigger engines with the twin cams and balancers are far smoother than the Sporty. Big reason the Sporty is cheaper by 1,000's. But I still think for the rider, the guy or gal who wants to feel the experience, the Sporty is the bike to have. Anything above the Sporty and you are simply paying for comfort.

I'm biased. I had to make a similar decisiion last March. I went with a 2005 Dyna Super Glide vs the 2005 Sporster 1200C. I have not regretted the decision. Believe it or not, it was not that the Dyna was bigger, but that there were so many damn near new Sporty's for sale. I knew that I wouldn't be able to trade for at least 3 years and that it why I went with the Dyna. I admit that I have never ridden a Sporty, but man, do I love my Dyna. I'm afraid that the Sporty may not cure your habit of trading often, but the Dyna might not either. I love my bike, but I keep casting lustful looks at Road Glides.
Just remember what my former Father in law told me when I got engaged. "It's not the initial cost that will kill you, it's the upkeep" And by that, I mean accessories, not mechanical problems. Art
