Any other suggestions? Still only getting a brief spark when either moving the sensor in and out of the cone, or rotating it.

Simple system. Battery. Cables. Ignition module. Coil. Wires. Plugs.

That's about it.

Start from the beginning testing everything. From battery to plugs.

Already tried all that, got a new battery, bought a used working module and coil, also new pickup sensor. Not sure if you read my previous post, but I get a brief spark when moving the pickup sensor in and out of the cone, or rotating it. But when I leave it in the location that the spark was created, it doesn't spark again until I rotate it or move it in and out and then it's only brief. You think it could be the battery cables? Idk I'm just trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help TStephen. Starting to drive me nuts.

I don't believe so, it's brand new. I checked for shorts in it and everything. Sounds like maybe it's a bad sensor right? Something.

Hey thanks for the input I appreciate it. I'm stumped at this point, and also not very experienced mechanically and especially with electrical issues

Well, like we've said, the operation of the system is pretty basic.

Just out of curiosity (since you said you purchased a used module and coil) have you checked the coil?

I'm not sure how to check the IgMod but the coil is a pretty straight forward check of the resistance on the primary and secondary coils.

If moving the sensor gives you a spark, then most likely the sensor and the coil are okay, I'm betting it's in the "used working" module. The rest of the system is very basic, the module is the complicated link.

Maybe there are tests to check the module but I'm not familiar with them.
