No Taillight or Running Lights
Hey All - Was headed home tonight and a cager pulled up next to me and told me my tail light and running light were out. Sure enough they both are.
Opened up the tail light and the bulb had loosened itself out a bit. As I was pushing it back in everything came on and worked fine.
Is there a way to ensure a hold on this bulb so this doesnt happen again? 9pm pitch black at night on the Ortega with no brake lights is asking for trouble.
Thank you all in advance!

Are you sure it's the correct bulb #?, there may be more than one bulb # that fits the socket but might not work properly, also the bulb might go in in more than one way.
Your taillight should always be on so it's really just the brake light filliment that is stuck on, that could be caused by either the front or rear brake light switch, a fault in the wiring or a fault in the bulb/socket. Based on how the problem started I'd guess that either it's a bad bulb or not the correct bulb, if it wasn't the correct bulb it might be that it damaged the socket when you put it in.

You don't list the year of your bike so I can't look it up but is that the bulb # that is spec'd for your bike?
It is a double filament bulb so the socket will be directional meaning it can only properly be inserted one way, if it got jammed in the wrong way it may have damaged the socket.
