The 2011 have a hole in the muffler for the cross over pipe. the 2016 doesn't. Where are you going to hook up your cross over pipe. And if you use the 2011 head pipe still not sure every thing lines up. Its real easy to put after market mufflers on a 2016. They just slip on, the cross over pipe is already hooked to headers and no worry about sensors.
They also repositioned the rear master cylinder in 2014. It may be in the way of the 2011 pipes and mufflers.
I've removed and refitted the stock system on my 2011 bike, which on the later bikes looks to be mounted to the engine in a different way. So I suspect they may not swap over.
folks think you are talking about just the mufflers. use the full 2016(2014+) system like you planned to. you will have no problem. if you don't have the headers, they are all over ebay, dealer's take off piles, and craigslist.
I was looking for stock head pipes & crossover then adding rush slip ons. I found a set off a 2016, but I have a 2011. At the moment I have a patriot defender but need a back up plan considering they are discontinued
