87 Sportster Scrambler

Slick lookin scoot! Never been too big on the scrambler/tracker look cause most of the time (imo) they can look janky and thrown together. Everything looks clean and well thought out on yours, though. Looks like a helluva good time. You need to get that thing off-road asap! Did you build it, or did you have a shop do the work?

The bike has an electric starter...there are two very small and light lithium 4 cell batteries connected in parallel, one is under the seat, the other under the rear "cowl" oil tank. The 2 batteries produce more than enough amps to start the bike. The charging system is stock HD and charges the batteries as normal. The bike is wired using a Motogadget "m-Unit" which is a super slick and simple way to wire a bike. Riding the bike feels like you're on a big dual sport without all the extra 'stuff' found on a dual sport. It's super quick and torquey and can be thrown around with little effort. The bike started off as a cafe build...it looked cool but not what I wanted...a Scrambler. So from the cafe bike I kept the frame, gas tank, oil tank, front fender, seat, engine. I built the bike myself from Cafe to Scrambler.

Great build!
No rear fender tho? Won't you be roosting rocks up at your battery off road? I'll assume you thought of that since this seems to be a well thought out build.
