Jaron,.........You do ok with your wording. Don't worry about it. I have an 883 low, 06 model year. I have ridden bikes with forward controls, as well as, without. My present bike does not have them. Instead, I made myself a set of highway pegs which seem to be just fine for me. They allow me to stretch out my legs when I want to. Personally speaking, I like the mid controls for cornering and leaning. The change over is a little expensive to do but the instructions that come with its purchase will be helpful to you should you decide to go that route. I found that the highway bars were more versatile for me. I would suggest that you try riding a bike with forwards first. You will find the forward control kits as well as the highway bar kits in the HD catalog under foot controls.

I have forwards on my Roadster and I love them. I'll try to get you a pic. On a Sportster Forward controls really aren't that far forward compared to the bigger bikes. I'm 6' tall and it was just enough to help me stretch out and be comfortable on longer rides.
