Well...I finally did it..I bought something...07 Nightster...question....since I'm officially broke....how does the stock exhaust sound?????? Will I be jonesing for a new one right away????? sound clips anyone?????? thanks in advance!!

YES! The nightster is a bit louder stock than it's brothers, but still not loud enough. Scrape up the $299 and get the SE slip ons. That will hold you til you scrape up enough for the stage 1 A/C and ECM download. Then you will be set. What color did you get and when do you get it? Congrats! I love this bike...

 

Hey congrat's on the new Nightster. I have the Orange and Black one and have put 3000 miles on it in the last two months. I was disappointed in the stock exhaust sound and like you and pretty broke. I purchase the SS Cycle Shack slip ons for $140 on ebay and am very happy with them. I noticed a difference riding around town immediately. People are actually noticing I'm coming up the road. My buddy has the SE slip-ons on his 2007 1200c and we believe the Cycle shacks sound better. Sound is subjective though. Good luck!

Lewd...I bought the same one you have at the same place you did...but don't worry, I live in Kingston, so the lady's won't get us confused!!!!!!!! I'm broke so all extra's are gonna have to wait a bit.....I hope that I'll like the stock sound for a while....otherwise the wife will kill me!!!!!

Who is your wife? I live in Germantown, and two of my sons will be starting this year! Dude we should get together and ride!!! the HD dealers near me are moroney's in Newburgh,Woodstock in Kingston....but ended up in Albany for mine.....
