Hi can anyone tell me if the rear shocks off a Harley sportster 1200 or an 883 will fit my Harley XR1200 I need to lower the back as I am too short thanks Wendy

 

Shocks of the same year models should work, you may need some shorter aftermarket should fix that.

 

willl need to space/shim the non-xr hd shocks. agree on after market.... progressive/ohlins/yss

 

Hi Wendy from somewhere not far away! Your bike currently has decent quality shocks on it, whereas stock shocks off the other Sportster models are not so good. So if you are riding it at present, think carefully before changing them.

There are two other ways you can improve life: but sturdy bike boots with thick soles and higher heels; consider having your current seat modified, to reduce your seated height. Trimming the nose of the seat can also improve how easily your legs can reach the ground.

 

Or lowering blocks. As sir Graham said, your existing shocks are great.
