Default solo rack for sporty


looking to put biggest solo rack on I can - run from 1st to 3rd hole if possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

HD detachable one is really well made and gives good attachment points. Motherwell makes one but small and will indent fender when loaded up (found out the hard way).

Very stout and easily holds this bag that's large enough for a full-face helmet with plenty of space to spare. Weekend trips were not a problem, even for the OL.

If you really wanna carry some stuff you won't need, get a two-up saddle, detachable sissy-bar and luggage rack. This is a pic from a 10 day, solo, camping tour:

I don't think I've come cross a first-to-third hole rack. Probably look good, with a retro appeal, but bolting to the fender holes, alone, might be a bit unstable.

This one was about $15 on ebay and bolted to existing holes. If load weight is a concern use some chromed fender washers.
