Default SG shocks and Viking hard bags

Hey guys. I wound up buying the Viking Hard bags for my 2010 XL883L. I haven't put them on yet. Looking to upgrade from the stock shocks to street glide shocks, either 12" or 13". Does anyone know if the hard bags with the cut outs will fit around the air shocks without modification?? I've been searching, but can't find a specific answer

Otherwise, I've been debating on ponying up for the Bitubos from DK. What do you guys think??

You wouldn't put shocks from a Lincoln Continental on a compact sports car and call it an upgrade would you?

Since you're a Sporty owner like me I know you'll buy the cheaper SG shocks. Then it's going to be that little voice in your head wondering if you should have just bought the actual performance shocks and how much better would it ride??? And then you will and you'll have a collection of shocks...lol

I considered SG, RK and other cheap finagled suspension options but ultimately did Progressives front and back. I have no little voice wondering if I should buy something else. : )

Viking bags are great.

Interesting take. Soooo many people on here love their SG shocks. But I get what you're saying. What progressives did you go with??

I have seen some say they like the big bike shocks on their sporty. Just saying its the rigged fix. Suspension is one of those items where it pays to spend some $.

I did 412 rear and monotubes up front. Brought my Nightster up an inch and digging it so far. It's still a Sporty so it still does not have a "plush" ride. But its a Sporty.... so I'm not looking for "plush". It soaks up the bumps so my teeth aren't clanging anymore.
