Default 1999 sportster 1200 XL custom

Hey I just got a sportster 2 days ago and it seems to be running perfect. But just today as I was letting it warm up I noticed one exhaust pipe was getting way hotter than the other one. It was the front cylinder pipe and it has a bypass to the rear pipe but I'm not sure if that's why it is so much colder I can feel a difference in the temp of the air coming out as well. It is not running any diffrent from when I got it. Is this normal?

I also pulled the front plug boot while it was running and it shut off when I did. So I imagine it is fine or maybe a weak plug???
