RE: Respect
I realy enjoy my ride , power, speed and handling. Irarely get any stupid comments from other riders face to face . I do however get a little bit of ribbing from my sportbike friends . Comments like, when are you going to buy a bike that can keep up. It is all good natured and we trade insults back and forth. They respect my ride as I respect thiers. 99% of the sportbike riders wave back at me and maybe 75% of big twin riders do as well. I guess to them my bike does not qualify as a REAL Harley. They seem to forget Harleys lineage and must have thier heads up thier butts and feel superior.. I could have bought any harley I wanted but chose this bike for it's style, and the ability to cutomise and make it unique .. Ride on fellow sportster owners and be safe...Mark...

RE: Respect
I just got back from the ROT rally in Austin TX and I would dare say that I was getting just as many lookers at my 1200N as the guys that had the fifty thousand dollar customs.
Went down to Lukenbach on Sunday and after having a beer and listening to the band for a while I went out to my bike and there were 8 or 9 guys standing around my bike. Took about 30 minutes of chit chat before I could leave.
Good stuff...... Hitting the curves from Austin, Wimbery and lukenbach and back. 250 miles and tons of fun.
