Default Spent a few hours on the Dyno yesterday

Yesterday we took a couple of bikes to the local dyno.

We had some items we wanted to test. We knew what we felt, seat of the pants, but we wanted to see what the dyno thought of them.

We did 39 pulls between the two bikes. Have not taken the time to analyze the data yet...but will be doing that soon and posting up a few overlay charts.

In the meantime, here are a few pics.

Fortunately the owner lets us do our own pulls...

...unfortunately he has the dyno up for sale, so it won't be long and this resource will no longer be available to us.

Nice! Im curious to see the results of the base maps you sent me for my bike, that's if they were amongst the items to test. Bummer to hear that you will no longer have access to the dyno soon. Im sure it has come in very handy in the past.

Yes, we did run both of the tunes...Have not even looked at the results yet...but when we were doing them, there was not a big difference in max numbers, but when I look at the curves, there may be some differences.

Am planning on printing them all out and analyzing them this weekend.

Why don't you guy's buy it and work out a deal for the space and an amount you both could live with for their use of it. Looks like a nice write off for you, if that's an option.

Assuming this is a typo, I think you meant "FORTUNATELY this dyno is up for sale! Soon this resource will be ours!!"

lol...

Looks good, looking forward to results...

Since you guys are always developing mods and could use the dyno to help in development, sounds like a win/win situation for you to buy the dyno!

We don't make so much $ that we look for write-offs. Maybe someday!

We are so tight for space last month we converted a container just to get more room.

Adding space to have room would actually cost more than the Dyno costs!

We develop most of our performance parts based on how they feel riding on the street or track. We use the dyno to confirm what our butt dyno tells us during development, or sometimes the dyno tells us the product is not doing what we thought it would/should.

We usually pay him $150-$200 to use it for 4-5 hours. Even if we rent the one at the local dealership, we only pay 400-500 for an entire day.

We do this several times a year, so we can't justify the cost of the unit, and the space to put it would literally be more than the cost of the dyno.

But it sure would be fun!!!

start offering dyna tuning then it would make the money back easy.
if you off a bed and some food ill come over after the trip, for 1-2-3 weeks and help for free.
could even bring my vcds kabel and bring in funds to build the dyno room.
in my spare time i code and make cabels/fit extras, like from the factory, on vw/audi/seat and skoda(mostly vw audi is a bit locked as most need unlocking from audi before coding.
regards
Sören
