The wrapp retains most of the heat inside the pipe, the more heat you keep inside the pipe the faster the air can push through it, or you gain velocity. not only does your bike run cooler and more efficiently you wont burn the **** out of your leg anymore. plus it adds to the old school look im shooting for.

reason 1:wrapping pipes on bikes or headers make the heat stay in the pipe. which in turn, keeps you from burning yourself on hot pipes, runs better, and frees up horsepower. and makes the engine run cooler.
reason 2: and the wrap keeps the heat in the pipes, so naturally the exhaust air moves faster, out of the pipes. so by making the hotter air move faster and keeping the engine cooler, yes it does "make you go faster". are you gonna notice the difference? probably not, but every little bit helps.
reason 3: it just looks f*****g cool.
later,
wanna
ps i think you nightster with the pipes wrapped (in tan or black) looks freaking cool man. to bad i had a nightster before harley did, but your's looks just like mine would.
