It really depends on how you feel about the loudness of the pipes with the baffles removed. I would suggest removing the baffles and see how you like the sound. Adding TTI's will only change the tone but not the loudness. Also, the size of the TTI's you order really depend on if you have baffles or not.

Removing the baffles will not make it better. Only louder from an already loud set. The TTI will add the needed back pressure from straight pipes. It will alter the sound and could alter the volume to some degree. To be frank, removing the baffles from the V&H seems like a total waste. But, hey, that's just me.

Well the size of the TTI's, is determined buy the pipe size, and by taking the baffles out and adding the T's it WILL be louder. You can adjust the degree of them to give the sound level and tone. Mine are LOUD and powerful sounding and I love it. I'm old school, Harley's were known to be loud, and now my 1200 sounds like A 1200
