None here. I rode a 07 Street Bob and felt clumsie but a sweet bike. I'm a Sportie guy. I'll buy another bike one day, but it better match up to my Sportie.
No regrets. I wanted a Harley, the price was right, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do - commute and take day rides with friends. I might get a Big Twin someday, but it will take a lot to justify selling my Sporty!
Sounds like the 883 heads were put back on after the 1200 conversion. To pump enough air through the engine to feed the bigger bore, the 883 heads will need some serious porting, otherwise it just won't make the power it should. Go visit the dealer and try to get a testride on a stock 1200. Your bike should be able to perform at least as well.
My OL has a 1200L and an 88 inch stage 1 Lowrider, the 1200 is quicker.
No regrets at all ('06 1200c). As for 2-up riding, I found that the Sundowner seat makes things a lot more comfortable. The stock seat is good for only solo riding and even then it is not comfortable in the long run. My wife and I are - well - large. The suspension strains a bit, but the power is still there for easy cruising and acceleration.
Absolutely no regrets here. I have the 1200 C and love it. If my wife rode behind me it would be a different story but since I don't ride two up anymore the Sportster is perfect for me.
