RE: i forgot to tell everyone...
Kids will be kids, I suppose. They don't really think beyond the pure comedy of someone getting hosed down as they ride by until something goes wrong, then it's lessons-in-life time. If I saw my kids doing that, I'd thump their little gourds; if I saw my neighbors' kids doing it, I'd be talking to their folks. Teach them before some irritated, newly bruised biker comes beating down the door. No parent wants that, yeah?

Some teenagers around where I live were charged with a misdemeanor for throwing water balloons at a group of bikers riding in a memorial day parade this last weekend. Probably wasn't the best idea that one of the bikers they threw a balloon at was the police escort. IDIOTS!!!

I would be pissed! Had an incident the other day, two "kids" around 13, 14, were on the sidewalk and they turned as I was approaching, next thing I know they made a move like they were going to jump in front me, I was doing maybe 30-35, and they start yelling "fall down, fall down" well I drove by banged a u-turn, and I gotta say they didn't run,and at first thought they were tough guys. I got off the bike and after some words were exchanged and they realized that I didn't give a sh*t that they were minors and would crack their heads together in a heartbeat they changed their tunes and apologized. It's weird cuz when I was a kid, I remember there were a few times that older kids would kick the crap out of me for being a jerk, and there was no such thing as assault on a minor charge, if you were a punk then u got your a$$ kicked plain and simple. It seems kids today just don't have that kind of fear anymore... sad really...

I would be tremendously pissed, and probably would have handled it exactly how you did. being it was a holiday, you'd probably be dealing with more people than the parents. Not to mention many would be pretty sauced up and not ready to hear criticisms of their kids. Appropriate you moved on.

Load up a super soaker with sulfuric acid and spray em. Heaven forbid a parent accept responsibility for their snivling child. A perfect scenario would be the person on the bike pulled out a gun and started shooting. ****ing people have absolutely no respect for anyone anymore and it takes extreme measures to protect yourself. I don't give a **** if they were kids. Then the media would target motorcyclist's as being evil and gang related etc etc, but lil johnny was the victim...
