As to cleaning the "milky" trans fluid....
Get a manual first.
Just do three or four oil changes in a row.
Get the oil hot between each drain/ change.
Drain plug on bottom...make sure you remove the correct bolt!
(Note has an o-ring to replace after final draining).
One can fill through the primary chain inspection plate...one quart at a time...Harley branded Formula + trans oil...instead of removing the derby each time.
Oil cost is about $10 a quart...IMO use correct oil as it can be absorbed by the clutch fiber plates.
By the fourth change to case should be clean of the "milk".
Yes, reads like snow/ rain entered the cases somehow...would be prudent to find out why/ where.
