Default Front Brake Line After Drag Bars

I installed the HD Sportster drag bar on my Iron and everything went together great. The only concern I have is the banjo fitting on the front brake. The angle of the brake line means the controls are tipped down just a little more than I want and the line is right up against the back of the fork cap.

Is it safe to bend the hard brake line fitting at the banjo more straight or is there a better method? What have you guys done with your bikes?

People have bent the brake line. I recommend replacing the line with the proper length. Brakes are not something you want to compromise.

Theres a point where a little "tweaking" can go too far..I'd get another line.

I agree, get yourself a braided line, the banjo won't have that pip on it, so you can move it where you want it to point.

Just loosen it, adjust the angle, and then bleed.. . Don't over think this, bend anything, or do something crazy.

use a dremel to grind away the little numb.

I very carefully bent mine just a smidge when I was running drag bars. You can do it just be careful.

Any brand recommendation on a black braided brake line?

I got my front from magnumshielding.com. Good people, great customer service and tons of options. I did the BYO kit which allows you to cut the hose to the length you want. This way you don't measure wrong, get it, then realize you're in inch too short....now you're buying another. Super easy to do this yourself if you have a manual. Magnum has a Youtube "how to" as well. No special tools required.

Also,..looks like a 35 degree banjo would get your brake line right where you want it. Pointing away from you tree.
