Are you using your Harley to save on gas costs and help our environment or have your riding habits not changed with the increase in fuel

I ride my bike to work when it's not pouring rain (even thought its only 8 miles). I ride it to go anywhere that I don't have to carry a bunch of hunting, fishing or camera gear or the dog.

Most of my friends live from 50 to 100 miles away so I really use it on the weekends.

Everyday. Rain and all. And if you are from Texas, you know the rain we have been having. We had a patriot run here in North Texas last weekend. Rained before and after, but the rain parted for us there and back.

EDIT: After reading the question again, I see that I might have voted wrong. I do have a TJ (Jeep Wrangler) as my "old primary" but I only used it to haul some lumber on a trailor since I bought the bike. haha. And we use the Wife's Envoy to go nice. So I don't really know how I should have voted. But I stick my original comment as that is what I have been doing.

I just started riding this last year and I ride as much as a family of 4 will allow. I ride to work and on errands when just two of us go. Not for the savings on gas but the feeling of being in the wind and alive.

I ride my bike because I like to.Thats why I go for rides with no destination in mind.I do use it to go to work and errands but gas savings is not the reason but it doesn't hurt either.I never take my car to just go for a drive.Did when I was young cruising around looking for girls though.

I ride for the enjoyment, but of course the gas prices factor in. I can travel to work for two days round trip on one gallon where my truck would use 3 or more. It always seems to take longer to get home on the bike- the12 mile ride usually ends up being more like 20 - 30 miles. Even so, I'm definitely riding every day when possible.

Excuse I used to buy the bike! Now that I bought it, price is more than welcome to start dropping!
