I switched over on my last service. I'm coming up on 2,500 milessince it was put in. Do you guys still changeyour oil out every 2,500 miles with the synthetic or do you wait for the 5,000 service? I'm not worried about the cost really...it is just a hassle to get it done if I really don't need it. And no, I'm a girl and I don't want to learn to change my own.[:'(]

It is SO easy to change your own! It also gives you time to look at your bike closely for loose/missing fasteners etc. I do both our cars for that reason.
That said, I do use the Syn3 (for now) and I'll stick to 5000 mile intervals, I believe. I say that because I have 4 miles of gravel each day - dusty this time of year - so if it looks really bad, I'll change sooner.

I do 5,000 mile change intervals with synthetic oil. Some synthetic oil claims extended drain intervals of 10,000 - 15,000 miles, but syn3 says the drain interval is not extended beyond 5,000 miles.

I change mine at 3,000. always will.

I don't care if the 'experts' say that's more frequently than necessary, I've always used that maintenance schedule on my bikes (cars and trucks as well), and I'm not going to change after all these years.
Makes me feel better running clean fluids, only costs around $30, and takes all of 20 minutes or so...
Heck, $30 is less than most people spend eating out, or probably less thansome spend on beer or alcohol during a week.

I use Dino Oil and change every 5k, I currently have 28k on the Scoot, whenI go syn, I am going at least 7500. Many years of working on Engines and other rotating Equipemnt and being priveleged to have Oil Testing available, I am a FIRM believer that we, the general Public, have been duped into 3k mile oil changes. I have read many articles that say changing Oil to often is as bad or worse as not changing often enough. Not saying if you believe in 2500 or 3k mile Oil chnages that you should do different. Just I have seen Oils go much further than 3k, and test as good as new Oil. Plus the fact that HD recommends 5k on the 883 even using Dino oil, so I fail to see why other HD's can't and why a Syn Oil would not go further. I'm not worried about saving a few dollars, but over a lifetime, the savings are quite significant.
