Default Solid Fat Boy Wheel

So the Dealers in Europe have been building 'custom' bikes.
And one dealership did the Fat Boy wheels on a Sporty

Anyone else done this?
I am already running the front fender so I know the forks will take it.
JUst wondered what else would be needed to get a Softail front wheel to fit

Can't be answered without knowing what model and year bike you have.

The solid wheels of a Fat Boy wreak havoc in a strong wind. I rode my friend's '97 Fat Boy to his summer home a few years ago as a favor to him. It was a windy day and the ride took a little over 3 hours. I was fighting the wind almost all the way and would personally never seek to put solid wheels on one of my Sportsters. Just sayin'...

Some Sportster models since 2000 have had a solid disc rear wheel and they look like them, so may not be FB wheels.

Interesting, the big twins use larger diameter pulley bolts than Sporties, although that should be easily worked around.

Been done many times:

http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/s...d.php?t=333368

plenty of info on that thread. wheels used are slightly different but, the process is the same.

loose reference for your "as is" situation and possible change options. We've found this chart off for some models:

Solid Fatboy wheels...
When a solid wheel is laying loose over there in a pile...people tend to say "fatboy wheel" no matter where it originated from because of Iconic nature of the wheels

In this case, since it's a "Set" of wheels, they most likely did come from a Fatboy

Same wheel used on as Sportster as most BT...just flipped around

They may have been able to shoehorn that wide-glide wheel into those mid-glide forks, but probably did some machining of the faces
