Default Brawler Seat Bolt

I just bought a Brawler solo for my bike last week and I really like it, looks and comfort, but the damned bolt that goes in the back bracket keeps comming loose when I ride, I'm guessing it's from vibration. No matter how tight I make it, it still comes loose. So at stop lights I'm constantly reaching back and turning it.

Any ideas to keep it tight? The bolt has a rubber washer and is hand tightend (no screw driver notches etc.) and it goes into a brass fitting that goes up under the rear fender.

I assume from your post it uses some type of a thumb or knurled head bolt. Will the stock seat screw fit? If not I would get another screw/bolt same length & thread from home depot, hardawe store etc. that you can tighten with a screw driver or wrench.

Don't use that ugly big ****, I threw that away when I first got it. Same problem here, I do know why your bolt comes loose, the Brawler seat moves back and forth as you ride because of the bad mounting design, I have to make an insert and put it in the mounting slot to stop it from moving. Since I did that, never tighten the bolt again. See the picutre, I use a skull bolt instead, and stick an insert in the mounting slot., the seat is pushed all the way forward against the tank

Making an insert is a good idea, I'm going to go scrounge around the shop and find somthing I can grind into that oval, hunk of bumper plastic or some old plastic clips. Thanks for the idea.

I tell you what I did. Take the bolt off, push the seat all the way forward, take a look at the space in front of the mounting hole(between insert and bracket), find a piece of plastic about the same thickness. Cut a small piece and shape it to fit into the front slot. You dont have to cover the rear slot because it is not going to move further forward. Trust me, the problem is not the mounting bolt, no matter how tight the bolt is, the movement will make it loose again. Give it a shot, not rocket science.
