RE: This Rain is Crazy!!
I've been waiting to hear something about us getting together and burning some miles...but just like you, I'm waiting for the stinking rain to go away!!!! Hang in there Dallas, I'm in the same boat you are! Every time I get "Piglet" out, the clouds get real dark and dare me to try to go down the road. [:@]

RE: This Rain is Crazy!!
I understand completely...It sucks bigtime! But I'm starting to get a "To Hell with it!" attitude about it. Why? Let's see...Rain this weekend and I'm off Fri, Sat., and Sun. Last week I was off Thurs. and Fri. Didn't rain! WOW! Week before that I was off Wed. and Thurs. RAIN and TORNADO warnings! Week before that I was off Tues. and Wed. RAIN. Week before that I was off Mon. and Tues. Mon. went down to Waco to rent the 1200L (pretty much why I joined this forum...I LIKE the bike!). Tried to rain on me coming out of Austin, but held off. Winds 15-20 mph. Not too bad considering. It PISSED that night and Tues. mylast day off. Previous week, off Sat., Sun, Mon. 250 mile ride in 30-35 mph winds in mid 40 degree temps. Week before THAT? Ipostponed that sameroad trip because the weather was bad! Before that? Rain! Shall I continue? You get the point, though...and yes, I KNOW, I live in the Mid-Cities area just east of Fort Worth, so we're getting stuck with the same weather systems. I work indoors so I'm beginning to wonder...WHAT THE HELL IS SUN???
But somehow, I've managed to log inover 2K miles during that time and have only been seriously rained on ONCE. Last week. Wasn't raining at the airport when I got off, but started POURING as I got closer to home. No cover to pull overtoand get the rainsuit out, and I'd be soaked by the time I got it on anyway, so......kept riding. Night riding in a downpour wearing RX glasses with oncoming headlights further reducing visabiltiy gets interesting at times....Sorry for the rant, but I'm feeling the same way you are, dallas
