Got my quick detach windshield and Sundowner seat (to make the wife happy ) here are some pics for all to see.

Piggy,
To each their own.... I figured I would get a tongue lashing for saying that I don't care for windshields and 2 up's on Nightsters, but they asked for opinions so please get over it. If it makes you feel any better I don't like my neighbors Texas Chopper with hard white saddle bags either. Kinda like putting car tires on a truck.
Not to beat this into the ground but.... Where did I ask for any ones opinion? I posted pics for others to see what the WS and 2-up seat looked like if they were thinking about it, not to hear how much some people hate what it looks like.
EDIT:
I like to hear what people have to say, I was just pointing out that in this instance I didn't ASK for an opinion. I have been a member on a Jeep forum for years and have a pretty thick skin for web forums.

I am impressed with how the bike looks with that WS. I just could not picture it in my mind's eye. I am planning on buying a WS for an upcoming trip and had counted that model out - quick or nay. Figured it too big. But something about the angle, etc, it just sits nice up there. Not bad at all for the purpose it serves. I have "did" uglier to serve a lesser purpose.

I hear ya bout the Jeep forums. I still have my TJ sittin in the driveway though she has not seen nearn a mile or dollar as of late.

My poor XJ probly feels left out now, it was pouring rain here this morning so I had to drive it for the first time in 2 weeks. Have I said I love my Nightster (even with the windshield)?

I think of the nightster as being a functional, no extras kind of bike and what's more functional for a 60 mile commute than a windshield? It looks great. I had my windshield off for a few weeks and put it back on this morning. My commute is much better with the windshield.

Did anyone out there re-direct their throttle & clutch cables to install there detach windshield?
Just bought one used and the instructions say I need to take apart the cables and move 'em.
Curious to see if you guys did this when you installed.

Thanks, Fish
