OK I'll be the jerk.... What's next saddle bags & curb feelers?
Break down and buy your wife her own bike then the nighster can be a nightster.

If money were no object that would be a fine idea, this is my first harley and I know I will grow out of it in a year or two so we plan to pass it down to her when I go to someting a little bigger. One screw and 4 clamps and the bike is back to how I ride it 95% of the time, chill man.

Good plan NEFXDXT, the bike looks awsome, you have good taste, this is why they make detachable accessories. Thongs2U, you classified yourself properly.

How do you "grow out" of a really really cool bike?

I sold my Sportster and bought a Low Rider last winter. It was a mistake in many ways. Although I like the Dyna just fine, I didn't outgrow the Sportster, I just wanted a different bike. The Sportster was superior in many ways: speed, handling, coolness, simplicity, etc.

Your Nightster is a very cool bike. Don't ever put it down like that!

I guess that didn't come off right,by "grow out" I meanmy wife and I would like a slightly larger bike that is more suited for longer distance/touring in the future. This is what we could afford now and I couldn't be happier with it.I will never get rid of this bike, it fits me like a glove and is what Iwould choose to ride hands down if by myself.

P.S.

I LOVE THIS THING!

The windshield is more than cool....get on the interstate for two hours at 75mph with the windshield and then without. The results will speak for themselves.

Oh yeah, I now ride it every day 60 miles round trip to work. Those first few days without it were pretty crappy, wouldn't do it without the WS unless I left it off on accident.
