A bit lower, and you can't push back as far. On my Iron, that is. It's vastly more comfortable than stock, and gives a more stable seat, if that makes sense.
Later!
Thanks CrackHeadBob, that helps! Sounds like it'll be the right seat for me.
Not a problem at all, sir. I'm a short legger, so less needed reach for the ground is huge for me. I've put a couple hundred miles on it so far, and I think it's worth what I gave for it. ($179 on Amazon.)
The bare bones is a good looking seat and well made but not the most comfortable for any sort of distance. Kind of like the name, it's lean and mean. They make great seats but it has to fit you and your riding habits.
Yeah. I never do more than about 40 or 50 miles in a day, so it works well for me. If I did more miles, the Barebones would definitely not be the seat I would look at.
Thanks guys. Yeah I really like the looks but I'm going to steer clear of it for now. I can really only afford 1 seat, so it needs to be kind of an "all around." A sol good for short and long rides with decent looks. I can ride the stock seat for about 75 miles before I start to feel it.
