Default nasty wreck last night

Here in myrtle beach last night on 544 a guy on an 05 yamaha lost control and laid his bike down, when he did a cadillac ran over him and sent his bike flying the direction of the opposite traffic and the bike hit the gas tank of a car coming by and started a fire on the car. The people driving the cars were fine but needless to say the guy on the bike wasn't so lucky. They didn't say whether his laying down the bike was provoked or not but 544 was closed from 10:00 last night until 6:00 this morning.

Jeez, that's a nightmare scenario to avoid if at all possible. What caused him to lose control?

From what i see, im surprised that stuff doesnt happen more often the way the bikers ride those metrics.... they're all built for speed, and everyone knows speed kills...

my 2nd cousin died last summer on the garden state parkway..she was riding on the back of her husbands bike and somehow she fell off..some old lady ran over her head..they say she probably would have survived if it was only a fall from the bike..the old ladie was in her 70s and from what i understand there was plenty of time for her to stop or swerve to avoid running her over..

this may be politically incorect but im just gonna go ahead and say it..would it be considered racist if there were a white bike week? i mean because im sure black people come to the regular bike week in myrtle beach..so it would only be fair if there were a white bike week and a black bike week..am i right?

I'm not going to say the "old lady" was not at fault, but how did someone "somehow" fall off a bike? Just wonderin... [:-]

we are not sure..but we are kind of suspecting she blacked out from some kind of medication she was on..i only met her a couple of times when i was younger ..so i really didnt know her..and never found out what the reason she fell off was..
