It wasn't horrible traffic. Just a few long red lights basically. Rush hour hasn't been too bad. I'm just used to the sport bike being a little cooler. I also haven't gotten a harley helmet yet so I am using my sportbike's full helmet which adds a ton of heat. Need to invest in a 1/2 helmet from harley I believe. I am going to switch to synthetic oil at the 1000 mile service and may buy one of the temp. oil sticks.

Color is vivid black if anyone was wondering. I liked the black best. Just want to add the sundowner seat, pass pegs , and sissy bar now. Maybe forward controls later on. I am enjoying it stock right now. Only complaint so far is the bike heat in traffic at 87 degrees outside today was horrible. Not the bikes fault though. Only real complaint is the seat needs replacing. Stock seat is a bit uncomfortable in my opinion. Sundowner should fix that right?

The Sundowner is a great seat, or so says my buddy who's tried numerous ones, including a Mustang, and says the Sundowner beats them all. I sat on it as well, and it felt very comfortable. I and some others in here use a Pillow Look seat, which is almost as good (I have no problems with it).
You were smarter to buy the 883. If you ever want a 1200, you can bolton a conversiona lot cheaper than buying a 1200 outright from Harley.
Not that you will need to. An 883 has plenty of power.
