Sportster throttle loose

There are two cables coming from your throttle, both should have a rubber boot that protects a small nut and the throttle adjuster. Find the one that you want to adjust and start tweaking it. Once you have it where you want it tighten the small nut to keep the adjuster in place. Put the boot back over it and ride.
Just had the grips replaced and they have it too tight for my liking.

Thanks!! worked like a charm. I had about 1 inch play now its hardly any play but enough to be safe. I used both the return and the throttle adjustments to get it nice. Made sure when I let go of the throttle I could hear the audible metal hit for the return stop at the throttle body so I know the throttle is closing all the way and ran it till it was fully warm to make sure the rpms are at normal idle speed.
Excellent job, Sir . . . .
