I have a 1989 HD sportster 1200 xlh. I've rebuilt the carb and it has new gas and lines. I'm not sure what to do next. Please help

Did you also replace intake manifold seals when you rebuilt the carb? Pulling the carb recently on mine moved the manifold (1991) so it was way past time to change them. A very easy job, well worth the trouble IMO.

Sure you got the needle jet in correctly? Does your vacuum piston function properly? Maybe torn or pinholed? Throttle cables adjusted properly?

Did it do it before you rebuilt the carb ,or touched the throttle cable(controls).
