The psi listed on the sidewall of the tire is the MAXIMUM recommended inflation pressure, and not typically the correct pressure based on the weight of the bike & rider (load). Many of the tires we use on a Sporty are the same tires used on a bagger with a 2up rider load which obviously would require a higher pressure.
38 (F) / 40 (R) is recommended for solo, 42 (R) for 2up

This is crazy good advice! I never looked at the Avon website but have been running Avon Cobras at the factory recommended air pressure of 30F/40R just to now find out Avon recommends 36F/39R. Looks like I'll have to give that a try. I feel so stupid for never looking into this some more.
